Rotaract Club Zagreb Centar / Croatia, District 1913

We are all different. We come from different cultures. We belong to a wide variety of religions. One is black, one is white; we are students, lawyers, teachers, doctors... We live on different sides of the world, but still, there is something that connects us. It is our goal.

We all want to do the same thing: to make the world a better place.

It sounds a little bit too idealistic, but we believe that we can change something, and we do things in order to achieve it.

That is what unites us. That is the universal idea which keeps pushing us forward.

In our humanitarian work we do small things and we don t expect dramatic changes overnight. However the word  “Rotor” which is the root of  Rotary says a lot about our function and explains our mission. “Rotating “means constantly moving, always doing something and in the end, piece by piece, the puzzle comes together, through the united work of individuals.

In the end I am sure we will see our picture of a better world.
Here is a picture of us saying: “Nora, we love you!”

It is a message of support to a little girl who is only five but already suffering from a serious illness  - acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She needed 3 million kunas for her treatment at the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital.

We collected a small amount of money for her. Step by step, with the help of ordinary people, “mission impossible” became reality and little Nora went to America to fulfil her dream of a new beginning.
