As Rotaract Club of Girne Liman, we have taken part in Orchid Walk(24/02/13) which is organized by Northern Cyprus Cancer Research Foundation. In this organization, there were about 1000 people and all of them walked 10 km together. The aim of this traditional walk is to attract attention to cancer, remember people who died from this illness and make some donation for the foundation.
Our duty was organizing the buses and selling tickets. Most of our club members wake up very early and went to their buses. We also distributed the packages in the buses which are provided from the foundation. When we arrived to the area, we walked as a club and had fun.
We think that this project explains the Rotaract very well. Because this was a communtiy project and we had fun with our members. We were also socilaized with other peoples. In the buses we developed our leadership skills. And the most important part of this project, most people said that "Well done Rotaractors!" so this sentence exalted us so much.
